_And if anyone thinks the tomato was being affecting by my hand: _*_NOPE!_*

The metal contacts are only on the inside of the sensor, not the outside. My hand wasn't touching anything but the plastic casing while the tomato was on there, and the tomato was held in place by a velcro strap. I was only holding it up so it'd be in the video frame, but before I was testing with it just sitting on a wooden table and it got the same result!

When you attached it to the tomato... I lost it. So good. Great video, just like all the rest of your videos.

So this is basically a mood ring for over $100 while awful video games play in the background?

Technically, if you use your mouse and keyboard to play games, you're already using mind-controlled devices, since your mind is controlling your hands.

They should have called their company 'Placebo-soft'.

Someone needs to decompile those executables and see what's actually in them. I bet all it does is check if your finger is in or not; the game plays itself.

Did... did you eat it? The tomato? The intelligent tomato?

I played this years ago when they were showing it off at the Ideal Home Exhibition in London.  I never knew it was actually released though.

But the game I played was teaching you to relax, where you played as a fish and the more you relaxed the more it evolved,   (turning into an angel at the end)  I only ever got as far as a salamander :(

Galvanic skin response?
Grandiose promises of societal advancement?
Insisting that it's the customer's fault if it doesn't work?
Intelligent tomatoes?

This is a repackaged Scientology E-meter, isn't it?

I can just imagine being some 12 year old kid who has to choose whether or not he wants the MindDrive or the Nintendo 64 for Christmas, because his parents couldn't afford both.  Then his parents decide on the MindDrive...

Whenever you mentioned the US government in this video, I kept being reminded of that scene from the movie The Men Who Stare At Goats -- where the two Army officers talk about how the KGB heard about the American attempt to communicate psychically with a stranded nuclear sub (something that didn't happen) so the KGB began Psy research because they thought the US was doing Psy research, so now the US had to do Psy research to prevent a "paranormal research gap."

I wonder if the Tomato will start it's own Youtube Channel.

HOLY CRAP FINALLY SOMEONE FOUND THIS THING

I remember playing this in a computer store sometime in the 1990s, with a skiing game. But I could never remember what the name of the product was, and literally every time I've ever told someone I played a mind-controlled skiing game at a computer store in the '90s they've looked at me like I was crazy. Honestly I began to wonder if I was just misremembering the whole thing or maybe even dreaming. Thank you for confirming that I'm not actually crazy.

From what I remember it actually worked reasonably well for the few minutes I tried it. The tutorial said to relax, and to think 'left brain thoughts' to move right, and think 'right brain thoughts' to move left. I was able to actually do it kinda.

I'd love to see "LGR Plays" episode where you pit a cherry tomato, a potato and a carrot against one another in these MindDrive games.
