Best explanation of the process I've seen! Thanks for sharing! As a designer, I actually recommend that my clients find a printer before I start designing. In my experience, different printers like their print files formatted in different ways, so it's nice to start working with their formatting in mind. The choice in paper weight and book binding can also affect the file formatting so I also recommend nailing that down before working with a designer. Local printers are some of the kindest people and love talking about what they do, so don't be afraid to reach out and meet with them! They are also a great resource to walk you through the different paper weights and finishes available and how they affect cost. When it comes to printing, the physical experience is SO important so I definitely recommend splurging for the nice stuff.

That zine looks phenomenal, and as a person who has been in publishing for more than 20 years, I can say this is an excellent guide to creating your own publications.

This is amazing, Kam - thank you for showing us the detail in creating your Zine. I have looked at Blurb as an option to create a personal photo book on family. The process (different types of paper, size selections, textures etc) can be daunting, but I think it's worthwhile to pursue. I appreciate what you've done here, and hope my final book comes out as well as yours. All the best!

So I've decided to get back into photography. When I did. I kept getting recommendation's on YouTube of this "Zine" topic. I didn't understand it until watching this video. This is such a cool idea I can do. Thank you for the video and information. Keep it up!!!

Amongst most other "film photographers" here on YouTube, your photos are very interesting and well composed. Not just Gas Stations and random shots through a bunch of people. I just watched all your videos - keep it up that way, very enjoyable.
And congrats to the Zine 👏🥳
