"Chilean" it refers to a type of latino or south american person to a country named "Chile" means for a south american based country. As i'm south american i understand the word "Chilean" but this rebrand kind of sucks as a marketing tool practice.

Spanish translation:
"Chileno" se refiere a un tipo de persona latina y para referirse un país llamado "Chile" un país con sede en América del Sur. Como soy sudamericano, entiendo que es la palabra "chileno", pero este cambio de marca apesta como herramienta de marketing.

I think preference for these snacks follows a genetic demographic-i.e. white people. My genes are from asia and i was raised in the US and these snacks have never appealed to me.
