I've only seen season one, but hearing you talk about this season was so wild. I am glad they are finally fully embracing the chaos and leaning into the craziness.

i got super excited when i got the notification that you posted this because i also really loved this season! (especially compared to last season, i've already forgotten most of the plot lol)

like when the first five episodes were airing i thought that would be the most that the show would venture into supernatural type stuff but then we got superpowers and magic and it was so much fun! never would have thought this is what the show would be back when i was watching season one

really interested to see how much of the magic stuff they keep next season and where the whole stuck in the past plot goes

I like this video. If you wanted to mix more of these longer form videos with your 20ish minute style, I'd watch both. I'm not a fan of this show but I would like to see you talk about some of the earlier seasons if you feel like making those videos. It feels like you might have fun with that idea since you love the show.

I agree with a lot of your thoughts on the season, this was so fun, I kinda hope s7 keeps the cranked up insanity levels (and I assume it will, from the -67 year time jump)

Might be a hot take idk but personally I actually prefer season 6 Jughead to any other take on the character in the show beyond _maybe_ season 1? The adaptational changes made to Jughead made him feel like weirdly emo and unusually proactive in the plot (whereas my reading of comic Jughead is more as this sort of outsider that moreso reacts to and comments on things as opposed to actively participating, most of the time), and I really really couldn't get behind the weird badass Serpent gang member/leader thing they did with him for a while?

He also seemed to have more comedic moments than in some of the other seasons, we got the massively iconic scene of him eating a randomly spawned hamburger which felt very comic Jughead, and we got to see him in the whoopee hat more than ever. This bit's not really comic Jughead inspired as much as just a sort of meta thing but I loved that he's gone from writing these gloomy books or whatever to comics, it feels a bit more like a Jughead thing to do to me personally

Finally a comment on Jughead directly: I loved all the classic 50s Archie Comics style sequences in this season and I am incredibly hyped to see season 7 really lean into that at least aesthetically

(Also personally super super glad about Bughead still being gone, they pretty much ruined seasons 2-4 for me, it felt like such a poor adaptation of one of my fave Archie Comics friendships (and I still wish they'd had Jughead be aroace in this))
