I think it needs to be an note in the video telling people right off the bat. that if you already Progressed or finished a certain questline that kills off a certain NPC you cannot get the dung eater summon. This will save alot of wasted time. I got hyped and did all the steps just to not be able to get the summon

dung eater the guy is so aggressive and the shriek of Milo's that he does debuffs the boss so you do even more damage and it lowers status effect resistance so it's easier to proc bleed, sleep, frost etc. To top it off he has a ranged attack and his weapon bleeds, by far I think he's probably the best overall summon for every build style because he'll always be useful someway whether you're a mage, melee, faith or Arcane build.

Guess I'll have to try this out on my next run. I'm still playing my first playthrough now at like 150 hours I've literally just explored every little inch of this world and I still haven't even gotten to the northern snowy part this game. I'm addicted to it. And I swear I keep seeing new videos like this one. Just showing me new little tips about NPC storylines and I feel like I just need to replay this game multiple times just to see how different endings and how you can interact with all these MPCs like this game just makes you want to do that and also just to try out being the game as a different build and you know just everything this game is just so damn good. Top three game for me ever made

It's worth noting that if you advance Rya/Blackguard's questline (the dude that sells the Lobster/Crab food that stole Rya's medallion in the Liurnia) he will be right nearby where Dung invades you. He winds up supplying another Seed Rot and his own armor & bell bearing as well. There's a little more back and forth, as you have to go to the "Outer Moat" and talk to Blackguard, and then rest at a grace and go back and talk to him again to get the invasion to trigger, but worth it for the lore and loot additions IMO.

Info for those who found Seluvis already dead:
I just checked seluvis rise again after progressing Dung Eaters quest.
You can still buy from Seluvis corpse yhe Jarwright and Finger maiden puppets. I couldn't give the potion to the Dung Eater though as I guess I didn't have it.
Visited the Seluvis Puppet ghost underground nearby, couldn't talk to his puppet or the other frozen woman there.
No dung eater puppet yet. :-(
Edit: ended up just killing the dung eater and getting his clothes for this playthrough. This did not allow me to purchase the Puppet. The key thing is the potion.
Get it as soon as you can in a playthrough or you will NOT be able to get Dung Eater Summon if you don't have it. Also be careful not to give it to Nephali or Gideon.

i did everything you did but when i go to give him the potion the only options i have is to use the seedbed curse or leave. did i do something wrong?

If you relog at sevulis u can get the dialogue to progress dats way u dont have to move and rest at a grace

This armor is not the highest poise but the highest immunity (the armor most resistant to poison and rot) The poise armor is a bull goat that gives you 100 poise.

Giving him either the seedbed curse or the potion can both get you the armor. For the seedbed curse, you just have to return to his cell after resting at a grace. You won't be able to get the summon though doing this route.

I had the potion at hand but didn't give me the option to choose it. Bug maybe?

To get the Dung-Eater as your puppet, instead of giving the potion to Nepheli (which I don't recommend) you should give Seluvis potion to the Dung-Eater himself.

This guide really help me. Thanks a lot. By the way. Just FYI, you really don't have to buy all of seluvis spells. I just went and bought one, but I had to go to him back and fort twice and exhaust all of his speech, before he gives you the option of buying your own puppet (dung eater).
