Since then, Modi hasn't given unscripted interviews.

Sir you scared him to the core. You are one of the reason that he has never dare address any Press Conference in 5 years as PM.

But he never answered awkward questions again.. only mango-mushroom ones

That character 'Modern day Nero' resurfaced again in 2021. Core character don't change.

Sir, I have been following your channel for long time now. 2 days back I came to know that Christian Michelle in Augusta Westland deal gave 50 crores rupees to journalist of Indian express to not write on Augusta deal. In the chargsheet filed, you have been named as journalist who took the bribe to not write on Augusta deal. You must make a video to show your stand.

In this country, every one talks about Secularism, why all secularists not opened their mouth during emergency, Sikh people were beaten to death, attackings on Kashmiri Pandits.

These news anchors are brilliant, educated, careful and smart people, now those personalities are gems of India. Modern day Nero is perfectly quoted. He should get it over it every time if he doesn't want that to haunt him but now he does.

If Karan was to accuse Indira Gandhi for the massacre of muslims in Bhagalpur riot or Rajiv Gandhi for massacre of Sikhs or Sonia for Mumbai 27/11, there would be no Karan left to speak about it as he is doing now!!

Journalists should be like him. Brave and honest.

No wonder why Modi never faced a press conference after that interview. That interview hit him hard to his core and that Chief Justice's comment of "'Modern day Nero'" sadly has been proved to be true yet again.

Karan Thapar is an incorruptible journalist par excellence. He is bold & ruthlessly honest.

His interview is a joy to watch for each & every question couched in bold & fearless language.

That keeps him stand out among the motley crowd of sycophant - journalists who are dime a dozen in this life especially in India.

But fact of the matter is that 3 minute clip made Karan Thapar more popular and is still having "his own meal day" as it is being used till date. Also, if Pawan Verma's alleged comment is to be believed then Mr Modi has still not taken any so-called revenge against Karan. I believe that interview was more of mud slinging than seeking truth all while an attempt to make oneself famous at the cost of what allegedly million Muslims in India say about Modi.
