If they ever plan to make YTMA v.2 they have to;
a) Increase the youtuber to celebrity ratio
b) Actually script out the show or give it more structure
c) Hire hosts and presenters that actually do care

ERB was winning on shares, but then all of a sudden YouTube decided to cut off access to statistics so that no one could see how many shares a video had... And then Eminen miraculously won!! Good job YouTube/Google, I hope you at least use that money Vevo gave you to make YouTube better!

I am so happy that all these YouTubers are speaking out about this. That award show was a textbook trainwreck. YouTube needs to learn how to show appreciation for the channels/content creators that helped create the community of users that keep coming back. By that I mean those of us who created accounts, and subscribed to support channels we wanted we like to see.

One of the main problems I had with the YTMA's was that by removing the ability for people to comment during the live show they are removing an aspect that makes YouTube, well... YouTube, I am talking about the amazing community. I and so many others feel that it is a shame that YouTube has resorted to having to involuntarily alienate a large percentage of it's users. As a website that means so much to so many I hope it doesn't make a habit of treating us like a burden.

I was a little surprised that the most viewed Youtube video of all time did not win the award for Youtube Phenomenon, but then again I was more surprised that Youtube Phenomenon was an award

Its the 1st Anual YouTube Music Awards, as in "the firstone, but it shall be one every year, no more, so its Anual"
But could be 1st Anual as in "the firstone this year, it shall be anotherone in two weeks and it will be the 2nd Anual."

Their popularity in the west is primarily because of YouTube. They do have a connection through YouTube. And they don't lip sync, they sing on radio shows all the time, without music.
