They've done several of these sketches where different celebrities are seen playing someone else's role. It gives the cast an opportunity to do impressions they couldn't do anyplace else.

Sarah's John Mulaney and JAJ's Werner Herzog were the absolute standouts. And Chloe has so many incredible impressions in her wheelhouse!

Bowen is a Bill Hader kind of impressionist: he often throws in some old-timey references he loves that make people laugh even they have no idea who he's supposed to be.
Counting the Titanic and his Chuck E. Cheese Commodores-like duo, this is at least the third time he clearly just want to pull a homage to 80s pop music.
