CREATIVE PHOTO PROJECT IDEAS — 7 Tips

Creativity is essentially problem-solving. Problems fuel creativity, as boundaries and limitations force us to think unconventionally, combine ideas, and avoid decision paralysis. When no problems exist, we can spark creativity by creating boundaries, and a great way to do this is by setting ourselves a photographic project.

17:21 Hasselblad X2D 100C Review

This video is sponsored by Hasselblad.
They send me an X2D 100C camera in exchange for using the it in my video. They let me make the video I was already making without creative interference, so I agreed to the deal. …and to be honest, if I already owned the camera, I'd be using it in the video anyway.

Jamie, you eloquently put into words so much that is largely unspoken in the mainstream photography scene. As a photographer, this is THE channel on here that I always look forward to seeing new content; no matter how long it takes!

There are only a few photography channels that I still watch. And there is exactly one channel I watch _every_ video start to finish, with no multitasking. Thank you, Jamie, for the insight you put into your videos.

Thanks for this. I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The disease is its own thing, but it is everything else it does. I couldn't be employed anymore, finances destroyed, loneliness, and we haven't even touched on the hurt it causes your loved ones. I haven't picked up my camera in months and months now. This video has given me inspiration.

Sorry to repeat myself: This is THE best photography channel on YouTube. Relevant. Packed with knowledge. Well presented. What's not to like? Absolutely nothing. Thank you Jamie!

I am Armenian, I live in Armenia. I have been engaged in photography for about 8 years, it is my life, I cannot do without it. I love your channel, the content you prepare. You present and deliver everything accurately. Everything is very simple, profound and understandable for everyone. I have taken a lot of useful advice from your channel, which has helped me a lot. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work.

"To this point" do not comment on video's but, "have to comment" now. You have done an entire video without making any negative comments! What a joy to watch! Adding to the fact that you create such good credibility by your work and your delivery you now have my attention. Hopefully others will pick up on that! Congratulations and thank you for the joy.

Thank you Jamie, I am thrilled with this video and will watch again. First, I wish you well with your health issues. As soon as this video started I thought you are looking healthier without knowing the difficult struggles you have undergone. The subject of this video is very relevant to me. I am in a part of Canada where the weather is cold and dark in Nov and Dec, the land is flat and I am uninspired, You really help me to get moving again and I thank you for that. Lastly, enjoy the Hassy! I have had a similar journey and while I still own Fuji I have discovered the joy and frustration that is going totally manual. I now have 2 Leica M11s and a Leica M-A film camera along with a Pixii rangefinder. The rangefinder experience helps me to slow down, focus both literally and mentally, and helps me be far more aware of the subject rather than letting the camera take the photo. You are my favourite YT photographer.

You are easily at the top of my favorites list in terms of photography. You deserve the highest image quality possible. You deserve that Hasselblad.

Great to see you posting on YT, Jamie. You look great, btw. Love the 80s aesthetic of your motion graphics and music, as always - very 'Apollo Computer'. Bath is easily my favorite city in the UK. I can't think of anywhere else I'd like to spend the winter in Britain. And I can't imagine anyone finding that series of B&Ws uninteresting - those shots around the canal are absolutely stellar. Congrats on scoring the Hasselblad. Wow. An amazing tool for a great talent. Cheers

The irony is that as my life has slowed down and other priorities have taken hold, rather than chasing a huge photography dream or earning money, something like this Hasselblad is increasingly more attractive to me even though it’s increasingly beyond my reach!
I’d love to get my hands on one but it will never happen. It’s so suitable and beautiful for my usage and barely used photography hobby, far more so than when I was a working photographer where I wouldn’t have looked at it twice. Oh well.

Thanks for the video, Jamie. You’re a complete gem of a guy and I will always watch your videos with avid interest.
