The irony is that psychoanalysis was discredited (and Freud defrocked) while religion is going strong and even making a comeback.

How does the psychological and biological nature of hierarchy relate to religion? It seems many want leadership and even leaders have their hour of need and call upon ideology or religious favor. So does religion reflect our preference for hierarchy, to have someone or something above us?

The god psychosis & neurosis are real.
It is a shame that they don't understand the evolution of religion.
In the bible story after jesus died religion was to be a spiritual situation and not the physical, which has caused severe problems.

Religion has become so prominent because it is the easiest way to find the existential truth’s that man so eagerly craves. They hear of the god and his afterlife and they feel comfort, comfort in knowing that God and existence loves him, and he sighs in relief, almost like a drug. It is for this reason that he defends god with his all. Religion is an opium that man so willingly indulges. Now who would let A fellow man fall into such an unhealthy addiction.

Freud isnt in Heaven, not likely! Too bad he didnt love the God of his forefathers, but rejected Him by interpreting the mind as all material and not anything spiritual.

Atheists assume that fear is the basis of religious belief. In my case at least, their assumption couldn't be more wrong. I chose religion when I saw a quote from the Bible that I loved and that inspired me. Love is the foundation of my religion, not fear.

Astrology has been debunked? Quite the opposite. People who've tried to debunk it have been convinced. It's just a matter of finding someone with good training and experience.
