Kiwa presents - Boiler and superheater inspections with Tscan

TScan is a metal thickness measurement method developed by Kiwa Inspecta.
It was originally developed to measure the walls of large boiler pipes in large power plants, but it is also suitable for measuring other such pipes and flat surfaces made of magnetic materials, that carry a risk of wear or corrosion.
In the TScan measurement, the inspector installs the scanning equipment to the wall of the boiler pipe. The scanner is driven along the wall and it accurately measures the thickness of each pipe.
Once all pipes have been measured, a general image is created, showing the thickness of the pipes as a color map.
By scanning all the walls, you can also create a 3D model of the entire boiler,
Scan examination is repeated regularly to be able to compare the measurement results
and to forecast material wear or corrosion.
Scanning saves money, the results tell you which pipes to renew.
The inspection method ensures that the results are clear, easy to understand and accurate.
