70’s Ludwig Red Sparkle 14x24 Bass Drum NEW TO ME

Just got this 14x24 Ludwig beauty from the venerated VM2000.
It should anchor my Luddy red sparkle Octopli very nicely!

Nice drum! i just picked up my first 26” vintage marching bass drum from the school i work at. You should make a video of drilling the holes and fixing it up, could use a little knowledge on it.

Anyway, you make a great point in this video, Terry! Remember when I spoke to you about the Speedking pedal I just got at the time not fitting my bass drum hoop? You just so happened to know exactly how wide the hoop can be or the Speedking wouldn’t work. I have a DW Collectors Edition but with a 20” bass drum. Man I wish I was paying more attention to the bass drum size because DW doesn’t make very many 20” bass drums. Anyway I had to return the Speedking pedal and I was sick about it. Anyway I’m going to sell my DW KIT and I’m still unsure of what kind of drums I’ll buy next, but I’m definitely getting a bigger bass drum! At least a 22” or 24”!

I'm surprised those hoops didn't break in transit. Not a good idea to pack a bass drum with heads installed. That package looks like it was actually handled with care!
