Duterte: Ex-Davao PNP chiefs are death squad commanders; encouraged criminals to fight back

Former president Rodrigo Duterte says in the Senate inquiry on the war on drugs that the former chiefs of the Davao police are ‘commanders of the death squad.’ He claims ‘death squad’ is a loose term that can be used to those who handle crime.

Duterte says he told the former chiefs to encourage criminals to fight and draw their guns, ‘Pagkalumaban patayin ninny para tapos na ang problema ko sa syudad ko.’

Nakakalungkot malaman na hanggang ngayon marami pa ring mang-mang sa kung ano talaga ang kahalagahan ng batas at konstitusyon. I think one thing is clear here and its duterte eagerly executing his principles or his beliefs of what is right. Might be unconventional or does not resonate with the usual professional. But he is just a man following his principles, doing what is right for the people. 🇵🇭
