Solstice by Studio Iregular at Discovery Green

Solstice is an audience-activated light and sound installation inspired by solar and planetary movements by Montreal-based Studio Iregular. The project was on view at Discovery Green (2022) and was curated and managed by Weingarten Art Group and, following this, travelled to Navy Pier in Chicago (2023) and to Quartier de Spectacles Montreal (2023-2024). The installation is comprised of a series of mirrors and LED archways that reflect the transformation of the earth throughout the seasons. It features an interactive element allowing visitors to change the speed, sound, and colors of the installation, showing how our actions can have far-reaching impact.
