The Taipan helicopters were basically death traps. That is why Australia stopped using them and decided not to inflict them on Ukraine.

australia has been assisting ukraine well before the war since around 2014 providing energy assistance and exporting uranium to help ukraine reduce their energy dependance on russia. ukraine and australia actually have a pretty good working cooperation with eachother with their mutual dislike for russia which is something that you wouldnt have initially guessed

Your impression that the Taipans were buried after Ukraine asked for them is incorrect. The helicopters were stopped from all flying after a deadly crash on exercises. The decision was made to scrap them soon after and the dismanling took place quickly. Why would we want to give the copters to Ukraine in the circumstances where they were scrapped for safety reasons? Are we to help or hinder the Ukrainians effort?

I'm proud to say, that my country Denmark, has given all our artillery to Ukraine. We have given F-16's, Leopards and other stuff too. And we have a Queen from Australia, and she is magnificent ❤

The US hasn’t actually needed new M1 tanks for over 30 years. In that time the Army has had a recycling program in place. Tanks are sent in. Stripped down to the hull and turret. The hull is repaired, painted, the rebuilt with the latest upgrades. The US has thousands of “new” tanks in storage. The only time they are pulled out is if a tank is destroyed.
