Madrid was founded by the Emir Muhammad I at the end of the 9th century, in 1047 it was traded to the King of Toledo by Ferdinand I of Castile who had just conquered it. In 1085, Alfonso VI takes the city of Toledo, Madrid enters the kingdom of Castile. The city was however destroyed by the Almoravids in 1109.

OLD TOWN

Between the Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace are the streets, squares and buildings where the town was born. Animated at all hours, to enjoy its atmosphere there is nothing like exploring them without haste and on foot.

Madrid has one of the most important historic centers in Europe, also known as "Madrid de los Austrias" which revolves around the Plaza Mayor, inaugurated in 1620, and the Plaza de la Villa, seat of the old town hall.

Near the Plaza Mayor you can walk to feel like a king to the so-called "aristocratic center" and discover the beauty of the Royal Palace, the Plaza de Oriente, the Opera or the Almudena Cathedral, it is the Madrid of the Bourbons.

Realmente Madrid é muito bonita, estive antes da Pandemia em Outubro 2019 gostei de tudo na cidade, um lugar mágico e fantástico parabéns aos espanhóis por sua bela capital, estive também na antiga Capital Toledo e gostei bastante uma cidade cheia de história e você volta no tempo num passe de mágica. Let me preface with I love Spain. I lived in Madrid from '86 to '90 and I recently moved back there. The traffic and air quality are much better now than the '80s. But the first thing I noticed when I came back was the amount of graffiti that ruining Madrid and Spain in general. It is everywhere: businesses, private homes, freeways, schools...etc. I don't understand why the vandals don't understand they are ruining their own country.

J'ai eu l'occasion de visiter cette ville en 2005 seule et en 2007 avec ma fille cadette nous avons beaucoup aimées. Je n'y suis plus retourner depuis, cependant comme partout un changement pas toujours reussi.Merci à la chaîne de pouvoir revivre des moments heureux par cette vidéo.
