Deepin Linux 15.4 RC Looks , Layout & UI

Deepin Linux 15.4 has a pretty long list of optimizations and some pretty interesting visual changes. In this video we focus on the UI, visual changes and aesthetics. I will follow this video with another one focused on settings and Deepin apps. Thanks for watching!

Man... I don't normally comment on stuff but I've got to say, I really don't see any problem here. This thing is almost perfect in terms of what I'd expect out of a desktop in 2017. It looks nimble, polished, and comes with almost exactly what I use on a daily basis, right out of the box. I suppose some people might be wary of chinese distro's but honestly I feel like it's worth giving it a really hard look. This definitely looks far more like a labor of love rather than anything shady - and I'm definitely impressed. Thanks for the solid overview video, and to all the deepin devs - Keep up the good work. I'm Highly impressed.

The new control center is extremely impressive. The Deepin UI guys know exactly what they're doing! Much more advanced than Solus in my humble opinion.

I've been running Deepin OS since the Beta, and I've got to say, it is awesome!
I don't know why, but it has some bugs on the blur effect when I'm using my language, but in english it's all good.

have it running for a week now and no coplains, it is a great distro. On my other desktop with antergos i installed also the DDE, so i gave there antergos-deepin.

Beatiful and polished distro, but when you need to update, first of all you must check mirrors list, don't use autoupdate option at all, check mirror that reliable.

I like this distro. Nice job by the developers. So far there is no way to change the clock to 12 hours format

This is for the dev and also comments for all..So let's start..Deepin is not probably but is the most beautiful DE around..It looks professional and feels like it has been around for 10-15 years..I cannot say that hand on heart about other Linux DE's..It looks better than Mac OSX Win10 I mean these are corporate systems not free and open source..So way back when Deepin 12, I think, started on the Ubuntu model and it was great mirrors were great everything just was fab..Then Ian passed away at the end of 2015 and around that time Deepin switched to Debian..It kind of looked like a stunt but I did understand their need to leave Ubuntu..If I remember it was based on Debian Stable at first but after a year they moved to testing..Things got better and then went bad..And it was the mirror problem that caused the biggest heartache..The final instalment was Deepin moving from testing to Sid (Unstable) so this is like Arch only not as good..Gives you more but those packages will break unlike Arch where they don't usually..But in all of this we still have the mirror problem and yet again it rears it's ugly head..The one other thing that annoys me about this distro is setting function keys to simple volume..So F9 mute F10 vol down F11 vol up LXDE is like this unlike all of the others where you can either set them or put in a command to use them rather than using Fn and F to do the same thing. I've maybe rattled on way too much but this system could be fantastic they just meed to sort out the mirrors FAST

I like this distro. Something new. Not another the same GNOME/KDE/XFCE distro. Deepin desktop is simple and beautiful.

I have downloaded deepin to try but it just wanted to install only would be nice to try it with a live CD trial so had to give up but would like to try it and possibly install it.
