The only good vid of this guitar. I'm sold. It's definitely a sweet axe and a nice improvement over the older esp mii standard

Going from ESP Standard to this E-II BS was one of the worst business and marketing strategies that ESP has ever done. There is no way in hell this extremely dumb move has not hurt sales. Even my dealer admits it.

This guitar is amazing i tried one and bought straight away without tackling to esp logo. Close your eyes and play. This guitar is killer

I agree on the confusion around ESP’s decision to go with this new E-II branding. There were better ways to differentiate ESP “original”, “custom”, and “standard” series instruments. Maybe a slightly different looking ESP logo, etc. After all if ESP is selling the guitars why does it matter? In fact ESP has probably done more to confuse its player/customer base than any other builder out there, LTD ELITE anybody? It’s my belief that part of the reason they removed the ESP branding from its production level guitars has to do with the new US ESP expansion. This way ESP gets multiple premium boutique/Custom guitar lines, without the “standard” series to muddy the waters and they can satisfy the players that might like to own an ESP but need the US stamp.
Having said that I own both an ESP M1 NT, and an E-II M1 NT. They are almost identical. The E-II has the newer locking tuners vs the Gotoh Magnum locking. The E-II does have a slightly better overall neck feel. The finish is top notch. The deal I got was just too good to pass and the ESP ones are practically impossible to find.

I do hope that some day ESP decides to label the E-II’s “ESP E-II” or something at least. I would love to see real sales figures.

ESP, come back for the hard working man!!

I was offered this for trade. Kind of concerned with 'no tone knob' and wondering some stacked vol/tone pot will fit in. Secondly, I am afraid that maple cap will give this a true 'tear your head off' bright sound. I would really like to hear this with passives also.

Did these ever come with rosewood fingerboard because I have a black I bought off someone used and the fingerboard isn't solid black like ebony. Looks like rosewood to me.

For the e-ii debate. Anybody who will care enough to look at the headstock will likely know it is not a cheap knock-off but a real-deal guitar. Not that I care the least bit about it.

Just call it ESP then.Fuck following in Ibanez' footsteps in labeling their guitars differently.

Beautiful guitar but why that stupid placement of the pickup switch??? I suppose the tremolo arm must be in the way all the time...
