All good info, but to make it more convenient, I keep a quick connect permanently installed on the flush port and a shut off valve at the end of the hose. That way, I don't have to run back and forth to the spigot.

Question, if its bad to start the engine with water going to it, why isnt it a problem to turn the ski off/on when in the water?

I do the same as you have, my ski has gone through 3 carbon seals, wearing out about every 30 hours, seadoo say I have been running it out of water to long, I all so spray water on to the shaft up in the intake grate, the engine alignment is 100%

I have a question idk if anyone can answer, I have a 99gtx limited it runs completely fine on the trailer like 2500 rpm’s, right when I put it down in the water it just turns over but never has started, I’m not sure what places to look at?
