Ukraine War: Moscow says overnight attacks on Southern Ukraine were 'mass revenge strikes'

Russia's Defence Ministry has said that overnight attacks on the two port cities of Odesa and Mykolaiv were "mass revenge strikes."

The strikes came a day after an attack on the Kerch Bridge linking Russia with Crimea, which Moscow blamed on Ukraine.

Military analyst Sean Bell has stressed the overnight attack on Odesa "renews the worry" that Russia is again interested in having a land bridge all across the Black Sea.

I thought Russia was suppose to have ran out of missiles months ago?

Hope Odesa doesn’t get completely mashed. One of the tragedies of war, aside from the obvious human cost, is the loss of beautiful old cities and towns, which once gone, are never to return and are invariably replaced with horrendous modern architectural monstrosities (eg. Marseille, Le Havre, Hamburg, Portsmouth etc.). Odesa is one of Ukraine’s gems. Please let the war gods spare it.

If it wasnt for the Kerch bridge attack there would be nothing good to say about the Ukrainian spring/summer offensive at all so far.

It is funny how these analyses are saying what they want to happen, not what is happening in reality.

With so much death and destruction being inflicted back and forth every day, does the concept of "revenge" even mean anything anymore?

The last time I was in Yalta, Crimea, there were stations kind of like phone booths but without walls.
Men would insert some coins and in return be sprayed with perfume. I figured it was lavender because further inland there were huge lavender fields.

We ask questions about Russia's activities. We never get answers. We then answer our own questions and report it as news and fact.

How dare this guy criticize other media. Free Assange or ask some questions about Nordstream. What a joke!

Crimea sounds like a great holiday destination this time of year! I hear it has amazing light shows and all round family-friendly festivals 🎉

Not a single report of the damages done in Odessa? Not one report about how many rockets got through? That's pretty bad reporting of it even is in the title.

Weird that the boat doesn't go to get the pilot, most of boating is cruising around looking for something to do.

Lol that the presenters are assuming there isn't going to be follow-up attacks on the Kerch Bridge.

According to Ruzzian revenge logic, Moscow and St Petersburg should have been levelled now...

This has nothing to do with Crimea, but with the end of grain deal. Grain deal is over and Odessa no longer needs a port!

I've noticed that Sky News now reports around the periphery of the war. They only talk of palace intrigue, speculate on events, and speculate on the state of Russian leadership. You'd never guess there's a Ukrainian Offensive happening. Oh yeah ... because the Offensive was a shambolic failure. 😅

Attack the bridge again and again until all traffic and train are stopped.
