I will admit, at first I wasn’t sure how well Post Malone and Taylor would sound when I saw it in the track list, but I found that the way they did it not only highlighted Post’s voice, but fit both of their signature sounds without ruining the others.

In her last track Hits Different from Midnights, she says
"I heard your key turn in the door down the hallway
Is that your key in the door?
Is it okay? Is it you?
Or have they come to take me away?
To take me away" (Potentially referencing she was mentally going crazy already )

Taylor released a promo video a day or so before the album drop, showing the narrator leaving the Midnights writing room behind and entering a sterile-looking clinically white hallway, very psych ward feel. Then she opens up TTPD Fortnight with "I was supposed to be sent away, but they forgot to come and get me, " likely going to a psych ward because the love she lost has driven her crazy. The music video, which drops tonight at 8pm, has that "I've gone crazy" feel as well.

Getting the bridge in a Taylor Swift song is the highest honor and I'm not even kidding. She's the queen of bridges, they're always so good.

Fortnight isn't my favorite song from the album, but it's slowly growing on me. One thing with Taylor's albums is that you discover something new with every listen.

guys guys: She's the wife – meaning, in a long term relationship – and she was happy "for a fortnight" – during the beginning, and then they become basically neighbours, she's neglected, and she's just "watering flowers" – lost in domesticity, and wants to kill herself –, and drinks etc.. and she pushes through, and then he cheats on her! it's about her an Joe, but she's a storyteller, you need to decode....!

If Knox kept up with her music throughout her career he would be better than all the swifties at deciphering the songs. He’s already goated in breakdowns but with her music specifically might not catch everything cause he doesn’t listen to it all. But the parallels and references he would catch and explain so perfectly 🙏🏽

"in an endless february" although february is a super short-feeling month cause it's cut short, taylor feels like it's endless!! that's another thing too!
