Just an update for your viewers : Nyoma has a new petrol pump now. Could be a relief for those who travels Keylong-TsoMoriri-Hanle. From Moriri to Hanle there are 2 routes. One: is via Salsal La-Punguk-Khuldo, dist 140km. Other: is via Sumdo-Mahe-Nyoma-Rhongo-Anley, distance 159km. Take the 2nd route, top up your bike & jerrican with fuel at Nyoma. You can manage your further route till Leh via Umlingla, Pangong.

Have a happy & safe ride. Be careful of rash drivers and also, be mindful of other vehicles, while riding on mountains.

Note: forgot to add, from Sumdo take a small diversion to visit beautiful Puga valley, beautiful landscape of sulphur lake, completely different.

I was down with AMS in Hanle. Infact out of 4 people, 3 of us were down with AMS - only headache though. No other symptoms so we were lucky. But I couldn't go out at night to see the milky way galaxy. Np, will see it next time. I travelled to Leh from Delhi via Srinagar. We did 2 days acclimatization in Leh but Hanle still gave us AMS. Nothing wrong with Hanle. It's a must place to visit. But travellers should be careful.

Dear Dheeraj, Namaste and Jule!
My friend and I, both from Europe, are traveling to Leh next week. We plan to rent a motorbike to explore Ladakh.
Your posts have been immensely helpful in planning our trip. However, we are still uncertain about the access to Umling La Pass for foreigners. I have read that it is restricted for non-Indian residents. Could you please clarify if this is true, or if there is any way for us to visit?
Thank you very much for all the information you have provided so far. We greatly appreciate your help and look forward to your continued insights.
❤❤❤ KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK! ❤❤❤

Thanks Dheeraj bhai toh this insightful post.
Personally, I feel the right thing to do is reach Leh, acclimatize and then move ahead . 🙂

Dheerajji, thank you very much for your kind suggestion re: direct trip towards Hanley, Tsumoriri etc from Manali side. Last year I drove my Santro to Pangong from Kolkata via Srinagar & Leh. Because of time we didn't go to Hanley, Tsumoriri and Umlingla. Hope to do it in near future. Thank you.

Dheeraj - thank you so much for all the detailed information. This video is very helpful. Quick question - Are these roads open in Winter? I am planning this route in Feb-Mar 2024 in a fully equipped 4x4 overlander - should we expect the roads to be closed or is it open all seasons. Any information will be greatly helpful. Thanks much.
