Just noticed that 80 people have 'Disliked' the way that Japanese people pronounce the names of their own companies? WTF??

Now get a German to pronounce the German brands, a French person for the French brands, an Italian for the Italian brands...oh and a Korean for the Korean brands.

If you're wondering why the Mazda one sounds strange - in Japanese it's Matsuda (マツダ) so that's the word she says here, not Mazda. You can't make the word Mazda using the Japanese alphabet. (Also, Lexus becomes Rekusasu.)

Hahaha I like the "What the hell was that one?" look on her face at the end

I can relate to this because of initially starting off with saying Vehicle brand names in the Japanese accent I find it hard to sometimes figure out the right way to say the name in English. Like for example saying Mercedes, would be more like
Me-ru-se-de-su in japanese and it was a hard transition getting used to it. XD

Nikon, here, is pronounced nee-KON, which I just can't get used to. It stands for 日本光学工業株式会社 (Nihon Kougaku Kogyo Kabushiki-gaisha) or Japan Optical Industries Inc.

Hah! People always give us Americans shit for our pronunciation, but according to this we pronounce almost all of these either dead on or pretty close. I've always wondered why the Brits pronounced Nissan as "Nih-sen", Honda as "Honder", Mazda as "Maaazder", ect.

I thought the Aussies and Brits pronounced Nissan incorrectly. Nissin is ramen noodles.
