Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said: "We are tired of hearing the lamentations of our American colleagues from the current administration that the hostilities [in Aleppo] should stop and that Russians are willing to do so only after having an agreement on corridors [for opposition fighters to leave]."

It takes one to recognize one.

Vitaly Ivanovich Churkin Russian Amassador to the United Nations replied:

"The speech by the US representative is particularly strange to me; she gave her speech as if she was Mother Teresa herself. Please, remember which country you represent. Please, remember the track record of your country in the creation of ISIS as a result of US-UK intervention in Iraq and US policy in this country. I do not wish to remind you about the role that these three countries played in the unfolding of the Syrian crisis, which has resulted in dire consequences and has given space to terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria."

the response: Vitali Churkin, Russian Ambassador to the United Nations (Russian):
"I do not want to remind the Western Troika which called for today's
meeting and carried it out on a raised voice, about its role in the
creation of ISIS as a result of US-UK intervention in Iraq and US policy
in this country. I do not want to remind about the role that these
three countries played in unwinding the Syrian crisis, which resulted in
such a dire consequences and gave the space to terrorist organisations
on the territories of Iraq and Syria. But the speech by US
representative is particularly strange to me, which built her statement
as if she is Mother Theresa herself. Please, remember which country you
represent. Please, remember the track record of your country."

“While Western countries and representatives of various international organizations were vocal about the need to make humanitarian deliveries to eastern Aleppo possible when it was fully under rebel control, they seem to have lost interest in helping the residents now that they’ve been liberated by government forces, ” Russian Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov.

Talks about shame when the US are supplying the so called 'moderate' rebels with weapons. These rebel factions have continuously partnered themselves with Al Nusra. They were also indiscriminately shelling western Allepo leading to mass death and destruction yet we don't ever see the UN or US protest heavily about it. Just a simple slap on the wrist.

Thanks to everyone who went hard core native political in the comments section. The point is that innocent people are dying in Syria. It shouldn't be a political issue. It's a moral issue.
