🏃 Hello! As mentioned, I'm doing the Great North Run in September to raise money for Mind. They provide vital mental health services in the UK, and I can personally attest to him important that can be for people. A small amount goes way further than you might think, so any donations are enormously appreciated. Thank you 🙏

Solankie flourished under an attacking coach. He'll love big Ange

Comparing Solanke's positioning with Celtic's Kyogo is smart. Most English "analysts" haven't taken the time to look at Ange's previous teams, all of which required a front foot, finish in the box forward. Besart Berisha in Brisbane, Junior at Yokohama and Kyogo Furuhashi at Celtic. And when Ange was asked after a game about Kyogo's goals, he would instead reference the strikers pressing and off the ball runs. Solanke is soooo an Ange system forward.

21 goals last season 1 header 1 pen. 19 goals from balls played on the ground. Just what we need.

The number of times Johnson has played a ball across the box and no one is in arriving... Big Dom has one job.

I've seen so many crosses from Johnson roll along the goal line but never anyone to put them in, this duo could be deadly

We also missed Kane defensive attributes from corners last season - richalson did it on occasions but didn’t play enough so fact solanke can do that as well shows it’s the player ange wanted all window

Word. I remember last year at this time when a group of Spurs fans were moaning about Ange and you did a video saying Ange was exciting and he would have success. Deja Vu. I'm excited about Solanke.

Thank you for the great analysis. It's interesting when people call Ange naive when he is in the early stages of building a team to play his way. Having watched Brisbane Roar, Marinos, Celtic and the Australian national team play the most spectacular football I expect to see the same thing with Spurs once all the pieces are in place - should be a definite progression this year.

BEST and most well researched/backed Solanke video sooo far!! Kudos. Enjoyed it

You should also mention how many big chances Son created last season, with no one there to finish them! One of the best players in the league for big chances created!

Lovely stuff. Not to be a pedant (ok, being a pedant), but a word or two on why Richarlison isn’t/wasn’t the answer vs Solanke would’ve made this just perfect. Maybe Solanke is more mobile, and better. But I want to hear it from Adam and nobody else, with lovely pretty overlaid stats on a miniature pitch

Timo Werner and his light speed ball progressions up the wings, and Son or Solanke to meet him up front/in the box... Spurs can really do some damage with Ange-ball

I can't believe Tottenham is actually building a consistent team patiently and trusting a good manager and doing smart business in the transfer window

Yet my beloved Chelsea has bought 44 players in the past 3 years!!!
Most of them are never gonna play for Chelsea ever!
And selling all the good and hardworking players that actually were good
And bringing a new manager every year!

Never thought I'd say this but good job to Tottenham
And I'm really ashamed of the way Chelsea are doing business, we are really finished as a club since clownlake took over

Nice to hear a positive, non-biased point of veiw

The biggest thing it does is if Richie isn't fit, Solanke can play, and Son can stay at LW. If Richie is fit, then Richie has to perform or Solanke is on the pitch and will perform. So some actual competition at the 9 rather than just putting whoever can do it.

The way these videos are made with things like the heat map is very impressive

Kulusevski didnt play a single game at LW lol. It was one of Son/Johnson/Werner

Already a huge fan, and I've found this analysis very comforting after so much negativity around this player from Spurs fans. Thank you! Two pedantic points: there's a typo on the intro pitch-board for Kulusevski, and Udogie is pronounced 'You-Doggy'. And I will be making a donation to your run-fund - good luck!
