I feel like I always speed run the first stages and cram like 6-12 months of a relationship into the first 2-3 months because I’m so enticed by the learning/discovery (mentally, physically, etc) stage…and then hit a wall where I just want them to be a friend and not have to be around them all the time. Which is jarring to them because for those first couple months I want to spend 3+ days a week with them

1.5 years and I’m still hooked. But I know after the one year mark on my first relationship I was nervous all the time about what he was thinking/feeling about me. In my current relationship I’m basically totally secure. I think there’s more factors at play.
