Curvy doesn’t equal overweight.
Flat doesn’t equal underweight.

There's a big difference between fat and curves

Curves might be in style but having a low weight is STILL in as well, so beauty is now just entirely unattainable.

I'm 5'8 at 160 pounds and I'm healthy and go to the gym 4 times a week! Before I started going to the gym, I was 130 pounds loll! I understand that people shouldn't be big if it's unhealthy for them, but a low weight doesn't always mean healthy person

I don’t know why this reminds me of this memory, but I remember My grandma having this old bathtub, and I asked my dad why is it so small? he replied “well back then people were extremely tiny” and it shocked me (obviously i knew back then people were more skinny because there were no restaurants or fast food etc) but it just never click how far we came. (which in my opinion isn’t really a good thing)

Considering 1 in 3 Americans are obese, the average American woman is a terrible comparison with regards to health.

For real, 171 pounds is borderline overweight BMI at my height as a man.

Like it or not, being thin will always be in, and curves being in are only for now, and even now being thin is still in.

Just because it’s average, doesn’t mean it’s good

38" is a lot. That is not a small waist size.

112 lbs is within the healthy range for a 5'4 woman whereas 170 is borderline obese, average doesn't equal good!

The average is skewed by high obesity rates. Average is not necessary normal or healthy, just the rough mathematical middle of where all the values fall, and it's influenced a lot by outliers with very high weight or waist measurements.

Average weight of American women is irrelevant when obesity is an issue.

5”4 and 110lbs . Let’s stop body shaming on both spectrums. And I at least like people who put a little effort into a healthy regimen. Accountability, self worth and self restraint will always be attractive.

uhh I'm 17, 5'4", and 120 lbs. I'm perfectly healthy, not insanely skinny, but a good skinny. the average American woman is overweight, so these numbers are meaningless. 112 lbs is not that crazy.

Just because you’re at a healthy bmi doesn’t mean you are comfortable with your body. When I was at a healthy bmi I still was insecure about my weight.

Average weight in the US doesn’t mean it’s a healthy weight….

The average waist size of a woman is now 38.7 inches? Goddamn! A few years ago it was 34, my waist size. And I’m a 6’4” man.
