John brings tears to my eyes sometimes when he is working through hard things with callers.

I heard carrie call in yesterday, when I was driving home. She helped me realize how lucky and fortunate I am. I wish I could help her, but it feels like there is no end to stories like these. I think this show did more to help her than I could ever have with money alone.

We make 400k/year, how should I pay my 26k mortgage? These calls are getting ridiculous

I disagree. All of the hosts are dynamic! You need to see the Best in them All! Get over it! Dave can't host everyday!

At 60 I absolutely give a thumbs up to John’s view on buying back time. We are multi millionaire status and husband still working his career while most of our friends (much less net worth) are retired.
His job is mostly work from home/work while traveling. Will continue until we make the decision that the job isn’t worth the time spent. However it has caused issues with the retired friends who are now counting pennies.

Not John giving a guy a complex about his father when the guy just wanted to know what to do with his money 😂😂

To Kim in Raleigh 01:46:00 - many attorneys will give a consultation for a small amount of money. In my area it’s about $100 or so for about an hour. Go with all information organized, bring documents, etc. Also, you might be able to find an attorney who will just review a property settlement agreement for a small amount of money. Research and ask around for the best divorce attorneys and see if you can get consultations and document review. If you can, go to about three of the best ones.

1:39 John was right!

Grieving I get but sometimes you don't have money to grieve. The man should not have quit his job. Plenty of times I've had to work through the bad.

I disagree with John saying that man wasn't a good man because he wasn't in his son's life. We don't know the circumstances surrounding why he wasn't, but he still left his son millions of dollars to break generational curses. That's a noble act of care and love.

I like it when John is there because money habits is a psychological issue.

John and his assumptions.... "you don't sound like a real-estate person."

Some of these questions were heavy!! Great job… it really amazes me the connection between finances and mental health. Shocking actually.

John: “You don’t sound like a real estate person.”

Dude she just told you she owns like 5 properties. Lol. Good grief.

Aside from their general credit card advice, the thing that gets me is their pauses when laying out scenarios or asking questions. It’s like they are trying to get validation. Just lay it out and wait for their response at the end.

But if Chloe leaves the job unexpectedly, wouldn’t she just have to pay them back? Is there an additional penalty that would be charged? If not, why wouldn’t she accept the payment and just save up that amount in your emergency fund in case she suddenly does leave.
