FOR THE RECORD ; "Rebel Without a Pause" was the first song created for It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back. From Chuck D's "Black Bolt" rhyme style, to Flavor's favor, to Terminator's Transformer scratch, to the Bomb Squad's sacred production, much could be said about this certified classic - but the the track's distinctive whistling sound in which samples the alto saxophone glissando from The J.B.'s instrumental "The Grunt", was heard in every galaxy !
The Bomb Squad consist of Carl Ryder (the production pseudonym of PE's Chuck D), Bill Stephney, Eric "Vietnam" Sadler, and brothers Hank and Keith Shocklee (James Henry Boxlee III and Keith Boxley respectively).
