The 24 Elders Explained: Are they Saints or Angels?

If the 24 elders in Revelation 4 are angels, then why do they sing about being redeemed by the lamb out of nations of people? If they are saints, why are there only 24 of them? Does that prove the pre-tribulation view of the rapture? Let me know what you think!

I can't imagine it's just 2days ago; We've a program with my kids where we're reading the entire bible and they're able to read the entire bible off-head. Right now we're in the Revelation. Now my son who is 9yrs old asked me, "Dad and who are these 24elders before the throne" I confidently looked at him and told him, my son let me finish what I'm doing then answer you. Excellent!! Well done !!! The 24 Elders are EXACTLY who the Scriptures say they are in Revelation 5:9. I subscribed to your excellent channel. We must ALWAYS interpret scripture from scripture & get 2 or 3 witnesses from scripture- WHICH you DID ! Bravo ! And as for Kat- I smoked her bad knowledge of the scriptures out long ago. She’s a precious woman with a peculiar imagination. I don’t doubt she loves the Lord. She’s just NOT scriptural. We are to test the spirits.

I actually itched to hear you reference the mention of that last theory. The 24 Elders that worship before GOD endlessly have always been perceived as the elders representing the 12 Tribes of Israel, and the 12 Disciples. And those 2 Scriptures- from Mathew 19 and Revelations 21 quite lend credence to that line of thinking.

That explanation of the theory comes quite naturally. May the Holy Ghost continue to illuminate our hearts on these profound mysteries

Praise God 24 elders are symbolic beings of 12 old testament prophets and 12 new testament apostles which further represent the Old Testament Church of believers and New Testament Church of believers. I just love the way God talks to us also! My mom and I was just talking a couple of hours ago about the prophecy about before Yashua return if the Word would be preached to the whole world, which I think is has been, or to every nation, tribe and tounge, which I believe it has not yet been done.
