Excellent explanation. I will add, after covering her powerful beauty, a woman reveals it at the moment it will do the most good for herself and for all of society, by revealing it to one man in the covenant of marriage. Modesty is to allow a woman to keep her power until she is in the best possible position (having a man vow his life to her, and she to him), and then release her power at the right time, for the good of everyone. It is something she does for herself, her husband, her children, her extended family, and for society. It benefits all.

Excellent! Grew up in a fighin' fundie church where modesty was about hemlines and necklines alone. Thank you for your focus. Still mulling the idea that "God is modest", though.

What’s the difference between modest and humble?

You missed on this one because real beauty is a smile and a kind (or Christian) disposition and because many women are not “beautiful”. Furthermore you have probably never met a farmers wife who has strength (nowadays many women work out). There are many types of strengths, do you think you are stronger than most women? You don’t look very strong. Modesty is not showing off your body.
