No aviation channel matches the straight forward observations of this guy. Matter of fact and economical reportage...it's why folks watch and listen to Juan and it's refreshing to be dealt with as viewers with a no nonsense approach...especially in serious and deadly matters such as these.

I lost my medical in 1987 for a vision problem. I have amblyopia, and my vision had deteriorated Haven't flown since. Its a matter of personal responsibility and understanding the responsibility to others you have as a pilot. Thanks Juan for your insight, as always it comes with compassion and the hope it makes a better prepared pilot community.

Thanks for having the courage to talk about these incidents that resulted in their lives being lost. Just remember that this will help spread the news and make changes to the industry that will save more lives.

Hi Juan, just to say I like the human touch you bring to the videos. The quality of your content is way above the big news outlets who seem to dehumanise current events

Another excellent report, Juan. Your concern and compassion for the pilots and other souls lost is clear to see in your face and voice. Thank you for your expert and respectful reporting.

My sympathies, Juan. I too, have read similar reports of people dying, who I did not know, but worse, there were those who I did know. They were friends that died in aviation accidents that were entirely avoidable. The worst was a case of fuel exhaustion. The weather was VFR and it was a short flight. The pilot had expressed some concern to me over the CTAF about the fuel remaining after shooting some touch and goes at a local airport. I had offered my fuel dipstick and even money to top off the a/c before their departure. These were refused with the final comment of, "Oh, I'll be fine." The a/c impacted trees several hundred feet from the approach end of the destination airport's crosswind grass runway. It's both a tragedy and a cautionary tale that has stayed with me all the years since it happened. Keep your margins wide, folks. You never know when you'll need the room.

I'm from and still live in Belgrade and drive by Central Helicopters every day on my way to work. I'm sad to hear about the loss of Tom. He will be missed.

As a fellow nevada county citizen, I absolutely love watching your channel. I cam across you just by accident last year during the Pge outages. My longtime gf from fb who lives on the east coast also found you by accident. It was amazing that we both are followers. but then again I believe there are no accidents.
God bless you Juan, keep up the great work. Your reports are amazing!

Aerial firefighting precludes an extraordinary amount of death, horrific injury and dreadful property loss each year. However the costs in lives lost, torn, or shortened is brutal. When it is the highly courageous and professional whom are lost the impact feels even more blunt. Your coverage of these matters Juan, which really amounts to your allowing all of us the benefits of your friendship in an odd but very meaningful way, is always a mixture of reverence from deep and a powerful desire for limiting the human cost of dynamic and dangerous operations which are of extraordinary benefit to all of us who live, work, and play in fire country. Thank-you as always for including me in the conversation.

Juan is getting real good at this kind of speaking. I can tell you that experience of high pressure incidents like code reds at work, or engine out landings, can and will focus your learning and prepare you tp calmly assess and correctly respond to the situation. What we are seeing from Juan Browne is truly the “Right Stuff “. Thanks for being there. N.E.OH Bob
