With Advent Children i am pretty sure in an interview or dvd extras or something it was explained that by that time Sephiroths sword was just a part of him now. Just an extension of him that he can make when ever he wishes.

I hope Glenn is the husband of Elmyra, Aeris' adoptive mother that was KIA during the Wutai War. It seems Glenn and his team are members of Project-0 AKA, the first generation of Prototype SOLDIERS that are expendable....The scene with Glenn and Sephiroth happens during 2000, possibly the day that LAME SEGA GENESIS, goes AWOL, hence why Sephiroth can't contact him? What the heck happened to the rest of his team? Did they die after defecting to Wutai or did they get assassinated by Shinra?

I don't think it is magical. Cloud and Tifa were able to grab it just fine. I think it is a skill thing. Given the length of the sword.

Not knowing much of the back story, and from playing remake, I always thought that Sephi was Cloud's Dad. Because he keeps asking him to join him e.t.c, and doesn't kill Cloud. Also, in Advent Children the Remnants call Cloud their brother, (the black sheep of the family) and didn't Sephi spawn the Remnants. If Sephi is the same age as Glen then theoretically he could be his Dad. We could have another 'Luke and Darth Vader' moment. LOL!
