Some of the best hospitals in the world. I had hernia surgery at pattaya international hospital. Consult, surgery and two days in the hospital total cost nine hundred dollars. In the states it would be about 50k. Plan on getting full dental implants soon. Great video chris.

Back when i lived in Chiang Mai in 2018, my galpal who was Thai needed back surgery for a nagging injury... i convinced her to go to a hospital that a few friends had backsurgery and 1 hour after MRI, saw the doctor and he explained everything too her and suggested a certain type of surgery.. Instead of waiting months like we do, or years in the states.... he asked if she was ready to have surgery Tomorrow.... she ended up having it the next monday...Great success and price

Great job Chris! As an American healthcare worker I’m envious of the environment provided not only for the patients but also for the employees. So clean, affordable, classy, and no entitled abusive patients assaulting the staff.

Yes you are right. I am in Australia but I went back to Thailand and tried to have my medical check up done as much as possible. It s getting harder to book but a lot cheaper than in Australia. I can say including your return tickets cost still cheper in many cases.

Had rotator cuff surgery at Bumrungrad. Arrived at BKK airport 7am and got to Bumrungrad about 10am. That day met with the doctor, did all bloodwork, Xrays, MRI, etc, etc. Next morning at 0500am they were wheeling me into the operating room. Just fantastic professional service. And big bonus of hot nurses:):)

Most of medical practitioners (md, surgeons, dentists, pharmacists etc.) are in the top 1% of the worker pyramid in Thailand. Lots of specialists graduated from North America or Europe so apart from some specific equipments, expertise and skills are at top notch (for private hospitals). The government has to subsidize the cost of medical care so it is accessible by its people so that's why it's very popular for the westerns. Our approach is a hybrid between US and EU, we have public healthcare system (lower QoS due to the number of patients) and private hospitals (better QoS and expensive for locals but considerably cheap for westerns).

I've had major surgery at Bumrungrad and it was great! Soon I will travel to Thailand and my first stop is Bumrungrad Hospital. It is so popular to go there from my country that patients from my country fill the waiting rooms.😄

I am from Thailand living in the US. I reviewed the Everhealth Care website and was impressed that all the Thai hospitals they listed are very good hospitals.
I went to Korea with an agency for medical treatments. When I compare the service and the care I received, I prefer Thailand. In Korea, it seems the doctor avoided talking to me. The nurse never come to check on me. I had to bang in the wall to call for attention because the device use to call a nurse that they gave to me after the surgery fell off and I couldn’t call a nurse to help me with the pain.

I like all your videos, but this one was extremely helpful to me. I have been thinking about getting a procedure done in Thailand - more the recovery part than anything else. The US can be really basic in the HMO hospitals but the Thai experience with after care hospitality and healing is world class.

Yes, our government plans to have Thailand become the best medical hub. We are trying our best to reach the goal.

As a healthcare provider, I'm so happy to see how these important services are provided in such a beautiful place . As usual, the Thais know how to do it in style. Thanks for sharing

I just had total hip replacement in Chiangmai this week. About 12000 with 4 nights stay in the hospital. So far so good.

I just started tuning into to your channel. I am considering semi retirement and started watching vloggs to get a better idea where to go to. I am going to Thailand in December, and find that your channel gives a more complete view of what Thailand has to offer. Great job. Oh, and I also loved the dog video.

I had a full dental restoration that included 2 abstractions, 3 root canals, 5 upper and 6 lower restorations, 5 crowns, and 5 — YES FIVE — implants, and saved at least $50 thousand dollars if done in the U.S.
More importantly, the dentist was Western trained, spoke perfect English, had 3 assistants with me at all times, and the technology was state-of-the-art.
It was a wonderful experience and I will NEVER pay NY prices and suffer their pitiful and indifferent care again.

BTW, my implants were $685. each — earlier this year (2023). Not the $1950. listed in this video. So you can get even better deals too.

It is a fantastic place for medical care. I had a skin cancer on the nose removed by a plastic surgeon and Bumrangrad Hospital years ago.... I have had dental work done as well. I also had an eye exam and new prescription for glasses at Rutnin Eye Hospital. Top notch physicians with excellent care!
