Fun fact Khonshu’s name actually means ‘traveler’ not only for how the Moon travels across the sky but also for how he would protect those who prayed to him for safety at Night hence his “Do you swear to protect the travelers of the Night” line brilliant writing on Marvel’s part surprisingly very historically accurate.

I had no idea Khonshu was one of, if not THE most powerful god of the New Kingdom. I had always assumed it was Ra and later Amun-Ra.

It makes sense, all those caravans travelling the Sahara at night, lit only by the moon, for millennia, and still today.
