I was thinking of buying a GO in June, but as I was Googling everything I could about it, I would sometimes see reference to something called Santa Cruz ( now Quest ). I decided to search more about what the Santa Cruz ( Quest ) was, and as I learned more I realised that this was what I actually wanted, rather than the GO, but it was nowhere near coming out yet.

So I decided to wait until the end of September to see what info was unveiled about the Santa Cruz at OC5. I'm now just going to wait until February/March to buy a Quest.

We have a rift, and want to add a wireless headset to our gaming room. Sounds like the quest is our best bet out there. Particularly attractive is the idea of being able to set up multiple play areas that you can store to memory for when you travel between locations.

I just hope the Quest will be up to at least "good enough" compared to the Rift. I'd invest in a Rift but I don't have enough space in my bedroom and it would cost at least about $300 more just so I could play it in my living room.

Wait... How was the battery life in the Go improved? You said it quickly and didn't elaborate. Do you mean the new features to shut off the auto on? Or did I miss something they did to improve the battery on the Go?

i have the rift and love it. i had the issue with sound stopping in the ear piece and found the fix for that but ive always loved the rift. I will be getting the quest next year when it comes out for sure. it will be really cool to be in vr with my son playing a room scale experience.

I’m very interested in the quest but I also have never owned a vr platform before so I might just be impatient and get the Go since it’s not too pricey and then upgrade to the quest when it comes out in May. Would you recommend the OGO?
