I made this parasol for the table I made some time ago, I like that tis is able to be opened and closed, it took a long time to make, and it had a lot of drying time, be sure to let the glue dry all the way, before you go from one step to another. Otherways you might have to glue all from the start again, I had to do so..
But this is a cool project, and I hope you will give it a trye to.

Thanks for watching :-)

This is AMAZING! How incredibly creative you are!! I have needed to create an articulated table umbrella, but I didn’t want to use a wire & cardboard/paper armature because the underside looked messy, & I wasn’t sure how long lasting it would be. I’ve looked at several sites for pre-made doll umbrella armatures, but they are always too big, more the size for an American Girl Doll. You thought of a method of creating an armature that can be sized to fit almost any doll. THANK YOU, SO MUCH for the imaginative thinking! I’ve subscribed to your site & look forward to more innovative ideas.

What is the diameter of the dowel rods you are using & what size is the diameter of jump rings? I bought all elements to make this umbrella, but when I began, I realized I wasn’t sure of the dowel rod & I definitely did NOT have the correct size diameter of the jump ring. Very frustrating!
