When I was comparing the two, I bought the Navi. I thought about it a bit differently. The Grom can do many things, but it's a master of none. In city traffic, you are shifting ALOT. And on the highway, like with any mini moto, things get a bit creepy once you cross 55-60 especially on a windy day. Meanwhile the Navi has a surprising amount of low end torque, flies up to city speeds pretty damn quick, and you don't have to shift at all. It's a masterful city bike. And pretty much anything 250 cc's and above is going to do the highway so much better than the Grom. And unless you are a masochist, you'll never take a MAJOR road trip, like 500 to 1000 miles, on a Grom. Because the Grom is so much more expensive, for a bit more cost, you can have a fantastic City bike with the Navi, AND buy a used Shadow, Rebel, Boulevard, Royal Enfield, etc, and have a bike that gets it done properly on the interstate. It just seemed to make sense to spend a bit more money and set myself up for the best experience no matter how I'm riding.

Great job sinking the comparison with negative vocal tones every time you mention the Navi, making features like auto trans and actual analog gauges sound like a bad thing. Not to mention the fact the Navi has a kick start which every bike needs....all for half the price.

Is there any reason a person wouldn’t just choose to buy an E bike like a wired freedom that pushes out 3400 W or an Onyx CTY2 that will top out at 54 miles an hour? Not trying to be a smart ass, I’m genuinely curious because I’m considering both.
