I've had good results with the X-T5 so far. In the X-T5's menu you can change the default 2.4GHz connection to 5G, which makes a big difference: no stuttering live view, and I was able to transfer 14 images in 30 seconds (~1gb of data per minute). But the app does need an overhaul.

I have never had any issues using the app with my Samsung phones. I have 4 fuji cameras and they all work well with the app.

That is one cumbersome App … too bad since sharing JPG’s SOOC is so easy with the iPhone. I’ve stopped using it. Maybe one day you’ll be able to make a video about a new and improved App that’s isn’t painful to use!!!
