I don't get the hate on the pick. It sounds totally fine and it's a great way to hear the bass a little more in the mix.

One of the most entertaining videos I've seen in awhile.

I watched a lot of your videos, especially the guitar builds and other projects. Anyway, I think you are a truly funny person. You have the best deadpan acting. And you always surprise me with your joking.
Besides your very excellent talent with tools and creativity, you are also gifted with a unique sense of humor. Never forget that making someone laugh is a true blessing in life.
Good luck on your career with your band.
Take care :)

To me, when you play with a pick, you actually get to here what the bass sounds like. It's like the tone really sticks out when you use a pick. Good job with all the bass lines, bud! 👍

Pretty nice sounds! Just remembered I had a Peavey Bass amp head back in the 70s with built in fuzz. Ha, memories.

I am going to buy a Hagstrom Beluga II F. I love those designs!

Yours is very pretty as well :) Is it as bass heavy sounding IRL or is that because of the recording?

Tom Chiiron Hey, the video was great! I'm not sure if you know about the channel already but Scott's Bass Lessons helped me a lot with general play and also stuff like improvisation, I really recommend it if you are looking to progress your playing.

Also, is there a reason why you only use a pick/plectrum (at-least in videos)? Don't get me fooled for one of those 'finger style only' bass elitists, but I have found that both give great tonal capabilities and both a pick and finger style can lead you to whole different dimensions of how you play.  I used to primarily use a pick and I loved it. But after starting to get into tones where finger, thumb, and slap style sounds best I found after a while of practice I gave each playing style it's own personality. It has really progressed my playing and made playing more fun.

Again, loved the video!

I understand people hate But u should learn finger plucking! As well as slapping. They are just great to learn and it expands your music writing capabilities. It open your eyes to new possibilities when writing new music :)

Great demo man! Is there a big difference between the scale of this bass and the Fernandes ?I know this one is a short scale, but it does not look that short like a Gibson..I hate short scale but i love this bass..What should i do? Buy i or stay with my precision?

Now that is a sweet sounding bass. Does it do bright, zingy tones as well? Also, it's amazing to see how far you've come as a player - Maybe you don't think you can improvise, and I'll admit a couple of pieces you played weren't strictly correct (Another one Bites the Dust comes to mind) but nonetheless, it's been a pleasure to see you go from playing chord roots to some stuff with a style that I think you can truly turn into your own.

Hi Tom.Is this a short scale bass?? I am a terrible player like you but i like long scale basses. This is why i haven't bought it yet.Is there i big difference playing this one and then long scale ? Thanks Tom.

What length strings do you need for replacement? The bass is short-scale, but the tailpiece seems to require a longer string.
