KILLER 5 MINUTE PRE-GIG DRUM WARM UP

Got 5 minutes spare? Need to warm up before your gig?
Try this gruelling warm up routine - you'll most definitely be warmed up (or dead from boredom) after just 5 minutes;).
4 BAR MIXED DOUBLE STROKE/ SINGLE STROKE ROLLS..
2 bars double stroke roll (RR LL RR LL) followed by 2 bars single stroke roll (R L R L R L R L ).
Set a metronome on whatever 'endurance' tempo you are comfortable with, for me, it's roughly 170 BPM. Having 16ths as well as a quarter note pulse tends to help to lock in.
Play on a challenging surface with little (or no) rebound
- Drum Thrones are ideal.
*This exercise is not as effective on a pad due to misleading rebound..
