The thing is that ancient otter would be OP if it would be alive now days, but back in the days 5 millions years ago that was not enough and that is scary.

I would eat something that's well rare like croc, hammersharks, and fish for my deadliest diet I feel like at times

Just imagine what kind of a menace this creature "would've been assuming they traveled in packs".

That's a pretty silly statement for a couple of reasons.

1) just imagine what kind of a menace this creature "would've been" makes it sound like you're talking about a fictional beast from a movie. "Just imagine what kind of a menace the Indominus Rex would've been".... that's the artificially created dinosaur the scientists made in a lab in Jurassic World. That's a scenario in which you can make that kind of statement. A better way to word this is "just imagine what kind of menace this creature would be if it were alive today".

2) the part where you say "assuming it also traveled in packs as it's modern version" is silly because this Double Giant Otter (that's my nickname for them because I'm not typing their scientific name lol) was twice the size of the modern giant otter. A Giant Otter is already dangerous, and it's even more dangerous to other predators when it travels in packs.... but just one of them that's twice the size would be able to fuck up any animal all by itself.
