Welcome to the fourth episode in the series on Northern Moreton Bay.

It has taken a while to get this episode up and it is out of sequence. I had intended to do the Curtin Artificial Reef before this video, but I am still waiting on copyright approvals for some of the images I am hoping to use. I expect to have an answer around the end of the month so with luck Curtin will be the next video in this series that I upload.

This video is a bit heavier on the history than previous videos have been, mainly because there is so much history to talk about in this area. Cowan Cowan was particularly important as the site of Fort Cowan during World War II.

For those that are interested in learning more of the history that I have merely touched upon in this video I have provided a few links below:

Qld. Government Heritage register:

Oz at war:

Wikipedia:

Griffith University:

Interdictor loops and more:

For those that are just here for the fishing information, there is some of that as well.

Thomas Welsby's written account of Moreton Bay and her ship wrecks is most interesting read - highly recommended. Cheers
