Pretty insane that the 3DS second hand is more expensive than a brand new switch

Love the irony how the 3DS sells more than its initial launch price, which back then was “too expensive”.

“Brand new GameStop” is the most surprising thing about this video

seeing these prices feels crazy because i bought my galaxy n3dsxl for like $160 when it was still available firsthand. it was my first big purchase with my own kid money and its still working great like 6-7 years later

The eBay listing was for a Pikachu "new 2ds XL" and the one in the case was a Pikachu "new 3ds xl" different systems. Even look completely different

I have a 3ds with the original box because of someone reselling their old one. I brought it to school once and someone recognised it. I figured out it used to be their 3ds. Was an interesting experience but they told me they never used it anymore and was glad that someone was using it.

This is ridiculous. I bought my New Nintendo 3DS XL for $199 when it first came out! That's insane! And they probably bought it for $30. Gamestops trade ins are a scam!

I have a original blue 3DS with the ambassador program but i dont feel like contributing to the retro gaming market. Might just give it to a family member who will use it.

I feel like I paid small amounts for all mine I grabbed them big bundles at a time 40-60 bucks people were tossing them! It’s crazy how prices bounced back so fast!

Every time I see a vid about the 3ds being priced high I'm so glad I kept my childhood new Nintendo 3ds xl from like 2016 or something. I used to have the 3ds xl which I got in 2013 but it got pretty damaged and I sold it on eBay a few years after I got the new one

4 years ago, I grabbed a refurbished 2DS XL from GS in their generic box. When I opened it, it was the Hylian Shield edition that looks like it has never been used. They even oacked it a charger, earphones, etc. Paid $109CAD

What I love about Japan is that their stores (especially the ones inside town where only locals buy, not the ones in major plazas that have overpriced everything) sell all kinds of tech and videogame consoles and games at VERY LOW cost. My sister lives there, and her friend went visit and spent 200 dollars. Just 200 dollars. He bought a SNES, 14 SNES games, 2 SNES controllers and even a Gameboy Advance SP with 2 games. They also had Nintendo DS Lite for 30 dollars and 3DS for 70 dollars but since he already had those he went real retro because he says "everything was SO well kept it almost looked brand new!".

I have a SNES edition 3DSXL with the box and such and I've been offered anywhere from 200 to over 1k for it so far but I haven't decided to give it up yet since I love it. But for the right price I'd definitely sell it considering I got it new on Amazon when it came out for 150.

The problem is that 3ds is really hard to emulate well on handheld devices. So if you want the best experience you don't really have a 3rd-party option. The only thing that is close is 3 to 6 times more expensive than just buying a used 3ds.
