Atlanta Child Murders new look

Episode 1 | The Atlanta Child Murders terrorized black neighborhoods from 1979 to 1981 and took the lives of 29 kids and young adults.

But now -- 4 decades after it began -- the notorious investigation is back open and what we found hidden inside old documents and new interviews may just shed fresh light on this cold case.

I think back to that time and i was petrified and i can remember how scared I felt as a child. I felt that it was like a real life boogyman. Although i lived in another state i felt like all children were not safe and anyone could be next. When they caught wayne williams. I felt such a relief but i was always fearful. And too this day it is still hard for me to wrap my head around 30 children lives being taken.

Yeah, it was in all likelihood Wayne Williams alone. But "probably" isn't good enough when it comes to mass murder. I'm white but if this was a bunch of Suburbian white kids brutally murdered, I can't imagine the families accepting a "suspect" as the killer & letting it lie 40+ years later. It's natural to want closure. I empathize with the families feeling like they aren't getting prioritized in this case.

He is the murderer, murders stopped right after he was arrested... They should get to peace with themselves... Building a memorial will make the killer famous and your place will be only known for that, if that's what you want

I’m not even from that and I’m crying rn why doesn’t ppl talk about this and why is this never mentioned until now. They need some type of closure and I feel like they need monument plus justice. I feel like just because they were African Americans they stop caring they felt like they found the murder but they didn’t have enough evidence to tie him to the murder. I’m crying 😢

This looks like the Wayne fella was used by some other people to capture these children this is why there was so many, remember the girl said that there was 2 of them, well when Wayne went to prison the other one continued, but it's sad that the black police force covered that fact that the murders continue even after Wayne. Wayne Williams worked for the white men.
