Remember hearing this song as a boy and having a connection to it. Years later. My grandmother told me we are native. Not Mohican. But Cherokee. I honestly didn't understand what it meant til an adult. But i try to teach my daughter. I try to live each day with respect. I think i might be close to tracking down family who is full blooded. Which would be a dream.

Holy Unspecified Deity! You have no idea how awesome and beautiful this sounds to me. I got goosebumps and for a moment there I felt sad at not ever learning how to play classical instruments. If I ever did, it would be just so that I could learn how to play this song.
