when you hear the word phobia what comes to mind? Spiders? clowns? tight spaces?
As it turns out there are thousands of phobias in the world and some of them are not what you might expect to see from cell phones to furnitures to trees.
Today we are counting down our top strangest phobias in the world.

Ablutophobia(ah-blu-toe-phobia) is the abnormal, and unwarranted fear of bathing, washing or cleaning. This type of phobia can get so extreme that many choose to avoid going near any type of shower or bath all together. It is thought to be related to traumatic experiences, one might have faced relating to bathing as a child.
Number 4
epiplaphobia( eh-pe-pla-phobia) or better known as furniture phobia. A person who suffers from this type of fear may have an extreme and irrational fear of furniture. Some individuals may be afraid of only certain types of furniture. While others are only afraid of old antiques. The actor billy bob thorton has indicated that he suffers from this type Of phobia and as a result will not stay in any places that were built before the 1950s.

This next phobia is known as trypophobia (try-Poe-phobia) which is an overbearing fear or disgust for irregular patterns or small clusters of holes. Those who suffer may experience panic attacks or feel nauseated. For any of you who watched season 7 of American horror story. The actress Sarah Paulson who played ally had this exact phobia play out on screen.

Decidophobia which is the fear of making decisions. For someone with this particular phobia making any type of decision can seem impossible because they ultimately don’t trust their own opinions. It can be as simple as deciding which way to go on a road. Many of these individuals may rely heavily on those around them and in their life to make decisions for them.

Dextrophobia which is an intense fear and terror resulting from objects being placed on the right side of the body. According to one particular source it goes hand and hand with obsessive compulsive personality disorder. Most individuals with this phobia will start to clutter their homes on just one specific side due to this fear.
