Known for its beaches and big waves, Imperial Beach was founded in 1887. At first, it was a coastal summer retreat for people from the Imperial Valley, giving the city its name.

I live on Donax avenue in 1964 & 1965 I was taught to surf on that beach when I was 7. Used my best friend’s older brother’s 5’ boogie board

Nasty. I feel bad for all the tourists that come because they saw this video. They probably don’t know they’ll be breathing the aerosolized feces that flows from the Tijuana river valley into the ocean and then gets whipped up in the surf and blown east over the town.
