Barcelona midfielder Xavi has often talked about the importance of the training, saying- "It's all about rondos. Rondo, rondo, rondo. Every. Single. Day. It's the best exercise there is. You learn responsibility and not to lose the ball. If you lose the ball, you go in the middle. Pum-pum-pum-pum, always one touch. Its so crazy how well drilled they are. Theres a keeper in there, centre backs, and they're all doing back heels and passing it around as well as the mids.

To be fair to the rest of the world though, I don't think its that they are particularly naturally skilled, its just that they are brought up doing things like this, the Barcelona Youth System is probably the best in the world. If I was doing things like that from the age of 10 I'd be pretty amazing too.

It is not Tiki Taka on show here, it is the game which has made Barcelona the possession hungry team that they are.
The player who loses the ball has to come in the centre to get it back, facing the humiliation of it.
This is exactly what they do on the field, pass it around graciously, if you lose it, press till you get it back.These kind of games is what really defines the Barcelona mentality

I agree, if you only have one way of playing other teams will eventually learn how to beat you. That's what happened to Arsenal in the Premier League and I think it's started to happen to Barca. Maybe Villnova will have a different approach.
