Oh my gosh you are fabulous! I'm new to crochet and I've been trying to make a dishcloth that is Buffalo plaid. But the pattern I'm using does not explain how to keep the opposite yarn coming along and hidden. I searched on YouTube to see if anyone could explain it and I found your video. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this technique! It helped me so much! Also, your blanket is BEAUTIFUL! I hope to eventually work up to bigger projects once I get better at crochet. So, I'll definitely try this pattern in the future. Thank you for breaking things down so newbies like me can follow along!

as far as crochet being a dying art goes, i've noticed more people in my age group picking up these types of crafts. i for example learned basic crochet when i was in middle school, and as a 2 year anniversary/18th birthday gift i'm using this video to make a blanket for my boyfriend. we've always found more meaning in handmade gifts like scrap metal rings and bracelets, and with winter right around the corner it's nice to have something that will get a lot of love and use. your way of teaching is very easy to understand and you break down individual elements of the blanket that would be hard for me to understand just reading a pattern or blog post is so easy to navigate. keep up with the beautiful artwork :)
